Warner Bros has changed the release dates of upcoming slate of DC universe. The first in line was highly anticipated Robert Pattinson starrer “The Batman”.
Mat Reeves directorial is delayed by around 4 months shifting to October 1st, 2021 from its original release date of June 25th, 2021. Furthermore, the studio has delayed the sequel of Shazam by 8 months. Shazam 2 was slated for April 1st, 2020 and now the film will release on November 4th, 2022.
Warner has also changed the release date of Flash as the film will now release a month early on June 3rd, 2022. The film’s original release date was July 1st, 2022.
Coronavirus has forced a lockdown globally and there has been change in release dates everywhere. Production of television series and films is on hold. Earlier we saw Disney rescheduling the whole slate for MCU Phase 4 and now Warner has changed DC’s slate.
However, we didn’t see change in the release date of one film i.e. Wonder Woman 1984. Gal Gadot starrer was slated for release in June but it was shifted to August and Warner gave no new update about it. This means Wonder Woman 1984 is still open for August 14th, 2020.
Keep an eye out on this space for more.
