Eid Clash Analysis :: Na Maloom Afraad 2 and Punjab Nahi Jaungi Must Perform At Boxoffice

Since the release of Fast 8 not even a single film has managed to earn big at boxoffice. There were couple of Hindi and English films which emerged success but true super hit was missing.. There was a mega budget Yalghaar which under performed, then there was Mehrunisa V Lub U which even though emerged Hit at boxoffice but that was more due to controlled distribution prices and budget.. Many Indian films have come in last couple of months but none has managed to become Hit.. Jab Harry Met Sejal did manage to register massive Weekend but yet film ended with Below Average boxoffice verdict due to poor performance after first Week.. In first eight months only Fast 8 has managed to become true boxoffice Super Hit and this is poor result for industry when compared to last 2-3 years..

But year is not over yet and we are heading toward best time for boxoffice i.e. Eid ul Azha.. There is a big clash over the Eid which puts industry in further pressure as there are big budgets attached to both films and these two films must perform so that confidence comes back to the industry.. Even though promotions of both the films are below par and buzz of both films are not sky high but still Na Maloom Afraad 2 has created some good buzz thanks to Fahad Mustafa star power whereas Punjab Nahi Jaungi has good theatrical.. Both films will get good start due to Eid but what industry and these two films really need is performance after Eid..

Which film will come victorious over the Eid is a question asked by whole trade right now but what industry actually need is this that both films become true Hits at boxoffice and due to clash only Eid footfalls won''t be enough for that rather both will need to have long and solid run for Weeks..
