Hum TV and ISPR collaboration Ehd e Wafa is a massive hit among drama audience not only in Pakistan but also overseas. Starring Ahad Raza Mir, Osman Khalid Butt, Wahaj Ali and Ahmed Ali Akbar in the lead, the drama is heading towards its conclusion.
While Ehd e Wafa is being praised for its positive and progressive narrative, it came under fire by a petitioner who believed that the drama portrayed the wrong image of politician and media personnel. Moreover he believed that the drama is contributing to tarnishing the image of Pakistan at international level. The petitioner Zeeshan stated “The four pillars of state were displayed but the role of army was shown instead of judiciary”
He requested that further episodes of Saifee Hasan directorial should not go on air. As per Samaa Tv, Lahore High court has dismissed the petition claiming it unfit for hearing. Justice Shahid Waheed further informed the petitioner that his complain needs to be addressed by Pemra, if the authority fails to respond then he can move his petition to court.
Ehd e Wafa is the second drama in recent time to have a petition filed. Before this Humayun Saeed and Ayeza Khan starrer Meray Paas Tum Ho was taken to court due to its content as well however the petition was also dismissed.
