Pakistani celebrities are playing their part in the fight against the contagious coronavirus. In these hard times some are giving away ration bags while others are giving generous donations. Similarly many celebs are creating social awareness about COVID-19 on social media. Few are spending their quarantine time while educating themselves and others about various aspects of life.
In such circumstances, 18 Pakistani celebrities have come forward creating a short film titled “Call to Action”. The short film shows every actor is at their home conversing on a phone and giving out a special message about coronavirus. The video starts with Hamza Ali Abbasi and then it features big stars like Humayun Saeed, Wasim Akram, Sheniera Akram, Reema, Maya Ali, Sheheryar Munawar, Ali Rehman Khan, Iqra Aziz, Bilal Maqsoo, Faisal Kapadia, Anwar Maqsood and others.
The sort film is an initiative by World Bank Pakistan and is made by Faisal Qureshi who has recently directed upcoming Fawad Khan starrer Money Back Guarantee. In the video, their conversation focuses on dos and don’ts that every citizen needs to take care of during this pandemic. Some actors have sneaked in their work like Humayun Saeed mentions London Nahe Jaunga, Maya Ali incorporates Parey Hut Love and Mikaal Zulfiqar mentions Money Back Guarantee.
The video reiterates the precautionary measures like washing your hands, wearing a mask and staying indoor especially if witnessing symptoms like dry cough, fever and lethargy. In light of maintaining social distancing avoid meeting people even if they take offense to your refusal and providing paid leave to domestic help.
The ending line of the short film says “A Pure Public Service Message Without Advertising Any Brand”. It’s really heartening to see our top stars making such a video encouraging social distancing.
