Marvel cinematic universe is expanding and coming to small screens with Disney +. The streaming platform was launched in November with series like Star Wars’ Mandalorian. The network has a whole line up dedicated to Marvel comic heroes as well. The first ever footage from the upcoming series was aired during Super Bowl on Sunday. Disney+ released a 30 seconds combined footage of ‘Falcon & the Winter Soldier,’ ‘Loki’ and ‘WandaVision’.
Falcon & the Winter Solider and Wanda Vision will premiere this year on Disney +. Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Loki in the Disney + series. Loki is set to premiere in 2021. In Marvel Cinematic Universe Loki first appeared in Thor back in 2011. The character was killed off in Avengers Infinity War however we got to see Hiddleston in Avengers Endgame briefly when Thor time travels to Asgard. It will be that timeline that the series will follow. The clip features Loki speaking this dialogue “I’m gonna burn this place to the ground.”
Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are also coming back in their avatars in Falcon and The Winter Soldier. The series will be picking up from the events of Avengers Endgame with Falcon now in possession of Captain America’s shield. We have high hopes for this one as the series has been scripted by Malcolm Spellman (from Empire) and directed by Kari Skogland who has series like The Handmaid’s Tale and The Walking Dead to her credit.
WandaVision, has been described taking inspiration from 1950s sitcoms. Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany will be reprises their role in the series as Wanda and Vision living their ideal suburban lives. However soon they will begin to suspect things aren’t exactly as they seems. The series has been directed by Matt Shakman (Game of Thrones, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) and written by Jac Schaeffer (The Hustle).
Besides these these three series, other being drawn from MCU include Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye, as well as She-Hulk, Ms. Marvel and Moon Knight. Check out the game spot for Disney+ here!
